Austin Smith is our Program Coordinator. You'll usually catch him smiling at the CEAC front desk and he's wears many hats! He is here to field your questions, help you obtain the answers you need, and connect you with people and resources.
His duties include coordination and advertisment of the annual Greenhouse Short Course, Hydroponic Intensive Workshops, Seminar Series, various tours for visitors, and other CEAC Program events.
Austin manages CEAC social media outlets and all online resources (including this incredible website), photographs CEAC events, is our first reponder for techincal troubleshooting, and welcomes vistors from his duty-post in the CEAC lobby. Additionally, he serves as an aide to the acting CEAC Director and Department Head of the ABE Dep't.
Austin is a communicator that helps make things happen. His interest in sustainable energy and water reclaimation led him to the CEAC, where he interned during his Senior year, obtained his B.S. Business Mangement from the UofA Eller College of Management in March '16, and was brought back as the CEAC full-time first line of defense.
